LOUIS MENCHISE holds a bachelors degree from Manhattan College in Finance.  He is a veteran of the US Army Reserve, and served in Iraq in 2003.  He holds a certificate from New York University's School of Continuing and Professional Studies (formerly the School of Continuing Education) where he studied between 1990 to 1992.  In 1994, he studied acting at the Lee Strasberg Theatre Institute.  He is a member of several organizations devoted to film and filmmaking and has volunteered on numerous occasions for the Independent Feature Project (IFP.org.)  He has also volunteered at the Tribeca Film Festival.  In 2007, he was a production assistant on "Man on Wire," which won the Academy Award for Best Feature-Length Documentary in 2009.
